Queen Charlotte Boys Win Intermediate AA Volleyball Gold!

Boys AA Gold Medal Match
Queen Charlotte Coyotes over East Wiltshire Warriors 3-2 (21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-17, 15-13)
                In one of the most exciting Provincial Championship matches in a long time, the Queen Charlotte Coyotes overcame a 0-2 deficit to defeat the East Wiltshire Warriors 3-2, winning the second consecutive P.E.I.S.A.A. Intermediate AA Boys Championship.  Scores were 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-17, 15-13.
                In the first set, Queen Charlotte jumped to a 10-6 lead.  They led 16-13 when Eden Woodworth went back to serve.  When he was done, East Wiltshire had an 18-16 lead.  The Warriors would maintain the lead throughout, winning 25-21.  Kody Vos had the game-winning serve.
                After Queen Charlotte took a 4-0 lead in the second set, Dominic Pineau of the Warriors had a seven-point rotation to give East Wiltshire a 7-4 lead. The Warriors led 22-212 when Raynor Gleen finished the set with a 4-point rotation.  East Wiltshire won 25-21 to move to within one set of a provincial championship.
                In the third set, the Coyotes too a 13-10 lead and coasted to a 25-18 win.  Zach Harris of the Coyotes had a 3-point service rotation to end the set.
                With the score tied 3-3 in the fourth game, the Coyotes used an 8-point rotation by David Wang to take an 11-3 lead.  Despite getting a 7-point rotation by Dominic Pineau, the Warriors would fall 25-17.  Nathan Whitnell would get the game-winning serve.
                Game 5 was back-and-forth with a packed gym yelling and screaming.  The Coyotes led 9-5 and 13-9.  But Eden Woodworth went back to serve for East Wiltshire.  He had a four-point rotation to tie the set 13-13.  A side-out put Queen Charlotte within one point of the gold medal.  David Wang served the game-winner and Queen Charlotte won 15-13.

Boys AA Bronze Medal Match
 
Summerside Owls over Birchwood Cobras 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-10, 25-14)
 
                The Summerside Owls defeated the Birchwood Cobras 3-1 to capture the P.E.I.S.A.A. Intermediate AA Boys bronze medal. The Owl won the first set 25-17 before Birchwood would even the match with a 25-19 set two win.  Summerside took the third and fourth sets (25-10, 25-14) to win the match.
                Summerside took quick 11-2 and 14-4 leads in the first set.  The Cobras would close to 23-17 before Jonas Binkley served the last two points to give Summerside a 25-17 victory.
                In the second sett, a five-point service rotation by Mason MacNeill and a four-pointer by Callum MacInnis would give the Cobras a 10-6 lead.  Birchwood would keep the lead through-out the set, eventually winning 25-19. Liam McCabe had the game-winning serve.
                With Birchwood leading 6-4 in the third set, Jonas Binkley had a seven-point rotation to pull Summerside ahead 11-6.  The Owls would pull away, winning 25-10.  Zach Ellis finished the set with a nine-point service rotation.
                It was all Summerside in the fourth set, leading 5-0 and 9-1.  They cruised to a 25-14 win.  Jonas Binkley had the match-winning serve.
