PEISAA Senior Female December Athlete of the Month

Each month the PEISAA picks a male and female intermediate and senior athlete of the month. The winners are featured nationwide across Canada on the School Sport Canada website located here: https://www.schoolsport.ca/

Mia is a welcomed addition to the team this year as she made an immediate impact as soon as she put on the Raider jersey. Despite being in Grade ten, Mia brings up the level of play of the team. She averaged 16 points per game in December, with notable performances against Carleton North and CEC where she had 24 and 21 points respectively. In addition to her offensive performance, Mia is one of the best defensive players on the team; she is often tasked with guarding the stronger players on opposing teams. She carries herself with quiet and humble confidence, leading by example as she is constantly trying to improve her game!
