JJ Kamphuis Charlottetown Rural
Finished 1st Overall PEI Powerlifting Provincials.
Holds all PEI Powerlifting provincial records.
He also just won the National Powerlifting Championship.JJ is focused, very professional and dedicated to his sport.
He has given up his time to share his knowledge and experience with other students, including actually coaching another team mate, who were also successful at provincials.
He helped set up the fitness room at Rural, again giving up his own time to help advise, build cages and racks.
Jayden is currently rewriting the record books. After leading Charlottetown Rural’s first-ever official powerlifting team and winning Top Lifter at Provincials, Jayden took his talents to the CanPL Nationals this March. He delivered a historic performance, solidifying himself as the best Sub-junior male lifter in the history of the sport by shattering multiple national records.
Jayden also secured a spot on Team Canada for Team Canada for IPF Worlds, Commonwealth Worlds & NAPF Worlds. While his stats are legendary, his character is even more impressive. Jayden balances fierce competitive intensity with a humble, inclusive spirit, often taking time mid-meet to coach and encourage others. A true class act, JayJay represents the very best of Prince Edward Island athletics.
